After 25 years in business, I’ve learned that the real story often happens behind the scenes. Long before fabric is selected or hardware is installed, there is listening, learning, planning, and problem-solving. That quiet work is what ultimately shapes the final result.
The custom window treatment industry has changed a great deal over the years. Products have evolved. Technology has advanced. Homes and lifestyles look very different from what they did when I first started. What has never changed is my commitment to learning, to craftsmanship, and to taking care of my clients.
For 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping homeowners throughout the Raleigh area select custom window treatments that feel right for their homes and the way they live.

The window treatment industry continues to evolve with new trends, fabrics, operating systems, safety standards, and technology such as motorized and smart-home window treatments. Staying current allows me to guide clients with confidence rather than assumptions. Continuing education has always been a priority for me, which is why I regularly attend industry conferences, workshops, and professional training and remain actively involved in the window treatment community.
Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to contribute articles for our industry magazine, share my experience as a guest on two industry podcasts, and serve as a co-presenter for our annual industry awards banquet. These experiences have allowed me to both learn from others and give back to an industry that has shaped my career. I’ve also been honored to receive two industry awards, recognition I view not as a destination, but as encouragement to continue doing the work well.

Being involved in professional organizations such as the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) has played an important role in my business. Over the years, I’ve not only remained an active member but have also had the opportunity to serve on both the local chapter board and the National board, an experience that has deepened my understanding of the industry and strengthened my commitment to high standards.
These connections keep me informed, accountable, and connected to trusted resources, including workrooms, vendors, and fellow professionals who value craftsmanship, education, and professionalism. Serving in leadership roles has given me a broader perspective and reinforced the importance of doing things thoughtfully and responsibly.
While clients may never see this side of the work, they benefit from it through smoother projects, reliable execution, and solutions carefully considered from the very beginning.

Throughout the years, I’ve worked with clients in many different stages of life, from first-time homeowners and growing families to empty nesters and long-time clients returning for their next project. What has remained consistent is my approach. I listen carefully, ask questions, and learn what matters most.

My role as a window treatment specialist is to guide clients through those decisions so they feel confident and comfortable living with their choices. Many of my clients return years later or refer friends and family, and that level of trust means everything to me.
